About Steve
Steve is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling. He spent 13 years at Denton Bible Church working with and under Tommy Nelson. Steve has a book co-authored and published with Tommy Nelson, entitled “Walking on Water When You Feel Like You’re Drowning”. Steve was host of “Hope for Life” a live call in counseling radio show. He also speaks often on the issues of Marriage, Parenting, Grief, Fear, Anxiety and Depression. He is a highly sought-after speaker and has spoken to thousands through training seminars at churches to give people real solutions to today’s most pressing issues.
Steve and his wife Marty founded a ministry during COVID, called Hopeshines Ministry. It is an online daily Bible study that ministers to people on social media. It also provides free Bibles to people all over the world. The ministry also includes work with young adults, pastors and a Deaf school in Kenya, Africa. Steve is an ordained minister and has been counseling for over 30 years. Steve has teaching materials on the subjects of marriage, family, and parenting. He also has teaching material to the church on Biblical Solutions to depression, anxiety, fear, worry and obsessive-compulsive issues. Steve lost his first wife to cancer in 1997. He is now happily been remarried for 25 years to his wonderful wife, Marty. They have four young adult children and two daughter in laws.
